SPOŁECZNA AKADEMIA NAUK (University of Social Sciences) is one of the leading private universities in Poland and has 18 departments, including Management, Finance and Accounting, Sociology, Educational Science, Psychology and IT studies. SAN promotes multidisciplinary approach, bringing together researchers from a diversity of backgrounds. The University is also very active in scientific research, organisation of national and international conferences and publishing scientific books.

Since 2004, SAN operates an Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Research Institute as an independent research unit. For more than 10 years the University has been involved in over 90 international projects, which have resulted in improving skills across the institution and a variety of relevant outputs (trainings, curricula, analysis, compendia, etc.).

Apart from main activity the University is a significant institution of continuing adult education (LLL) offering different courses for adults. SAN has also a special unit - Polish Open Academy which is responsible for creating and providing e-learning courses on Moodle platform (whole study programmes and short courses).
